Kate brings over 18 years of experience in diabetes care and a deep personal understanding, having lived with type 1 diabetes for more than three decades. Her areas of expertise include type 1 diabetes, insulin pump therapy, diabetes in pregnancy, and medical weight management. She has also spent many years working at Perth Children’s Hospital.

With qualifications including a Master of Nurse Practitioner, Bachelor of Science (Nursing), Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery, and a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, Kate combines clinical excellence with compassion. She is especially passionate about helping people troubleshoot the day-to-day challenges of diabetes, blending evidence-based care with real-world insights.

Originally from Esperance, Kate is a country girl at heart. She relocated to Perth to create more opportunities for her children. Outside of work, she enjoys building houses, gardening, and soaking up the simple joys of family life.
