Frequently asked questions

Questions about pharmacy services at PDC Health Hub? We’ve answered the most common ones below.

Do I need a referral?
+

No referral is needed for most pharmacy services. A GP referral is required for Medicare-funded medication reviews (HMR) and RMMR for aged care residents. Contact reception to confirm.

What is an HMR?
+

In a Home Medicines Review, a credentialled pharmacist visits you at home, reviews every medicine you take and sends a report to your GP. It is funded by the Australian Government and free for eligible people living at home with a Medicare or DVA card, on referral from your GP or an eligible specialist.

Are your pharmacists registered?
+

Yes. All pharmacists at PDC Health Hub hold current AHPRA registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and maintain their CPD requirements.

Can you help with NDSS registration?
+

Yes. Our pharmacists can help register you with the NDSS and assist with access to subsidised diabetes consumables including CGM sensors, insulin pump consumables, blood glucose strips, and pen needles.

What is a Dose Administration Aid?
+

A DAA (or Webster-pak) is a blister-packed medication organiser prepared by our pharmacist to help you take medications at the right time. They are useful for managing multiple daily medications.

Do you provide NDIS or DVA services?
+

Yes. PDC Health Hub is a registered NDIS provider. DVA White and Gold Card holders may also be eligible for pharmacy services. Please contact reception to confirm your specific funding arrangements.
