Karen is a Senior Podiatrist at PDC Health Hub, bringing over 30 years of experience across diverse clinical settings. She graduated from Curtin University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry.
Her interest in Podiatry began in childhood, sparked by the benefits she experienced from wearing orthotics and a fascination with lower limb biomechanics. Over the years, her understanding of Podiatry has evolved to encompass a wide range of foot health concerns, far beyond biomechanics alone.
At PDC Health Hub, Karen is part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The Podiatry service she leads covers all aspects of general foot care, including biomechanics, nail surgery, and soft tissue pain, alongside a comprehensive diabetic foot assessment and education program.
Karen is passionate about all areas of Podiatry, with particular expertise in assessing and managing diabetic foot complications such as ulcers, neuropathy, and circulation issues. She is dedicated to educating clients to prevent long-term complications and promote healthy feet.
Her career has spanned private practice, aged care, disability services, and professional development with the Podiatry Association of WA. Outside of work, Karen enjoys Pilates, tennis, and travelling, while balancing life with her family and three busy teenagers.
