Ambulatory glucose profile (AGP) report

An ambulatory glucose profile (AGP) report is a standard one-page summary of CGM data. It overlays many days of readings onto a single 24-hour picture so that daily patterns are easy to see.

What it means

The report shows time in range, time above and below range, average glucose and how much glucose varies, with a shaded graph of a typical day. Many AGP reports also show a glucose management indicator (GMI), an estimate of HbA1c calculated from average sensor glucose.

The 2019 international consensus recommended a standard report like the AGP so that people living with diabetes and their clinicians read CGM data the same way. Looking at your AGP before an appointment helps the conversation focus on patterns, such as overnight lows or highs after meals, rather than single readings.
