Support at Home

Support at Home is the Australian Government's in-home aged care programme. From 1 November 2025 it replaced Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care, and it can fund allied health for older people living at home.

Also called
Support at Home program, in-home aged care, My Aged Care, Restorative Care Pathway
Formerly called
Home Care Packages (HCP), Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC)

What it means

Eligibility and funding level are set through an aged care assessment arranged through My Aged Care. Services are organised through an approved Support at Home provider.

Clinical supports, such as nursing and physiotherapy, are fully government funded, so participants do not pay a contribution towards them. Other services, such as help around the home, may need a contribution based on your income and assets.

The programme also includes a short-term Restorative Care Pathway, which funds intensive allied health or nursing to help someone regain independence.

At PDC Health Hub
PDC Health Hub works with Support at Home providers to deliver allied health for older people living at home.
