What it means

Registration is free and lasts for life. You can register if a doctor has diagnosed any type of diabetes and you hold, or are eligible for, a Medicare or Department of Veterans' Affairs card. Pre-diabetes does not qualify.

A health professional registers you, such as your GP, a nurse practitioner, an endocrinologist or a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. Once registered, you can buy subsidised products such as blood glucose and ketone test strips, pen needles, syringes and insulin pump consumables. People living with type 1 diabetes can also apply for subsidised continuous glucose monitoring.

At PDC Health Hub
PDC Health Hub's Credentialled Diabetes Educators can complete your NDSS registration and explain which products you can access.
