ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet

The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is an automatic CPAP machine for people living with obstructive sleep apnoea. It adjusts the pressure through the night, within the range your sleep physician sets.

• AutoSet and fixed-pressure CPAP modes, from 4 to 20 cm H2O
• HumidAir humidifier, with Climate Control when used with ClimateLineAir heated tubing
• AutoRamp starts at a low pressure and increases once you fall asleep
• Expiratory pressure relief (EPR) lowers the pressure as you breathe out
• SmartStart begins therapy when you breathe into the mask

Choosing a model

The AutoSet for Her model adds a mode designed for women with obstructive sleep apnoea. ResMed states the machine is for people weighing more than 30 kg.

Before you buy

CPAP is used once sleep apnoea has been diagnosed with a sleep study. Your pressure settings should come from your sleep physician. Our Sleep Clinic can set up your machine, fit your mask and review your data with you in the first weeks.

Care

Empty the humidifier tub daily and wash the tub and tubing weekly. Replace the air filter at least every 6 months. It can't be washed.

Funding

A private purchase. Some private health insurance extras policies contribute towards CPAP machines, so check with your fund.

Does the AirSense 10 work with the myAir app?
ResMed Australia states that current AirSense 10 machines have no built-in cellular connection and are not compatible with myAir.

Can I use my existing mask?
Most standard CPAP masks connect to the AirSense 10.
