Pod Pals are adhesive overlays that fit around an Omnipod Pod to help its adhesive pad stay attached. They suit people using Omnipod who are active, swim or find the Pod edges lift.
Omnipod lists PodPals for the Omnipod System and the Omnipod DASH System.
Start with an active Pod on clean, dry skin with no lotion or oil. Fit the overlay over the Pod without stretching it, covering all edges of the adhesive pad. Do not cover any part of the Pod, especially the cannula viewing window. Press firmly and hold for 30 seconds. To remove, lift the overlay from its edges first, then remove the Pod.
Apply to clean, dry, unbroken skin. If your skin is sensitive, try a patch test first. If a rash, itch or soreness develops, remove it and talk to our diabetes educators or your GP.
Our diabetes educators can help with Pod sites and site rotation, in person or by telehealth.
A private purchase.
Will I need help putting it on?
Hard-to-reach sites, such as the back of the arm, can be easier with a second pair of hands.
