This is bought once rather than sent on a delivery schedule, so there is no repeat delivery to choose. Add it to your cart on its own or with the rest of your order.
The MedActiv iCool Weekender is a compact cooling bag for carrying insulin and other temperature-sensitive medicines on short trips. It suits people living with diabetes who need to keep insulin cool away from home for up to a day.
Freeze the gel pack before use. One supplier advises at least 14 hours at -18°C. Then place it in the bag's gel compartment with your medicines. Hot weather shortens the cooling time, by up to half at 30°C.
Check your insulin's storage instructions, as many in-use pens can be kept at room temperature. The supplier states the bag is not suitable for EpiPen adrenaline auto-injectors. Our diabetes educators can help you plan insulin storage for travel.
A private purchase.
How long does it stay cold?
Up to 12 hours at around 24°C. It will be less in a hot car or in a WA summer.
Can I buy a spare gel pack?
Spare gel packs are sold separately. Ask us if you need one.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
Other supplies you can add to the same order.
