Make it a BlueLoop membership

This price will not change. NDSS prices are set by the scheme and are the same whether you are a member or not. What a membership adds is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator checking each box against your NDSS registration and the devices you use before it is packed, and everything you need arriving together.

Add BlueLoop, $10 a month

This opens the BlueLoop signup, which keeps whatever is already in your cart. The membership is $10 a month, charged separately from what is in your box. Delivery is $15 each time a box is sent, or collect free from Pharmacy 777 Bedford. No lock-in contract, cancel from your portal at any time.

NDSS Code: 337

Drew's Daily Dose 32G x 6mm is a screw-on pen needle. It is for people living with diabetes who inject with a pen, such as an insulin pen.

  • 32 gauge needle, 6mm long
  • Fits pens that use a standard ISO thread pen needle
  • Sterile and single use
  • Box of 100
  • A QR code on the box links to the brand's education videos (email sign-up needed)

Choosing a needle length

The ADEA Clinical Guiding Principles for Subcutaneous Injection Technique (2019) recommend 4mm or 5mm pen needles for all adults, including people who are overweight. With 6mm, they suggest a lifted skin fold or a 45 degree angle. Ask your diabetes educator if a shorter needle would suit you. Our Credentialled Diabetes Educators can check your needle length and injection technique, in person or by telehealth.

How to use

Use a new needle for each injection. Remove it from the pen straight after you inject, and put it in an approved sharps container.

Funding

This product is subsidised through the NDSS for people registered with the scheme. See the NDSS pricing below.

Questions

Can I reuse a pen needle?
No. A used needle is no longer sterile, and reuse can bend, block or break it.

Will it fit my pen?
It fits pens that take a standard ISO thread pen needle. Check your pen instructions, or ask us if you are unsure.
