Darco Allround Shoe

The DARCO Allround Shoe is a post-operative and healing shoe. It is used after foot surgery, or while a foot wound or ulcer heals, when your clinician advises a protective shoe.

• Closed toe to protect the foot
• Extra wide opening with an adjustable hook and loop closure, to fit over bulky dressings or a swollen foot
• Seamless, padded interior and a breathable fabric upper
• Shock absorbing, non-slip sole with a low profile, so no height balancing is needed on the other shoe
• Removable insole, with room for custom insoles

Sizes and what's included

Sold as a single shoe that fits either the left or right foot. DARCO's size chart lists Small as UK 6 to 7, Medium as UK 7.5 to 8.5 and Large as UK 9 to 10. Allow for any dressings or swelling when choosing a size.

Fitting

This shoe is usually fitted by a clinician. Our PDC Health Hub podiatrists can measure and fit it, and review your wound or post-surgery care. If you live with diabetes or have foot problems, have your footwear checked by a podiatrist before you start wearing it.

Funding

A private purchase. Some private health insurance extras policies may contribute, so check with your fund.

Questions

Do I need one for each foot?
No. It is sold singly and fits either foot.

Will it fit over a bandage?
Yes, the wide opening is designed for bulky dressings. Measure with your dressing on.
