Kartier is a highly experienced pharmacist with over a decade in the field, and is also a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. She has lived with type 1 diabetes for more than 25 years, giving her a deep, personal understanding of the condition.

Her passion for diabetes care was sparked during her pharmacy studies, when she spent time with the diabetes education team at (what was then) Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH). It was her interactions with teenagers living with diabetes that inspired her to pursue this path - a calling she continues to follow with dedication and heart.

Kartier has a special interest in the use of technology to enhance diabetes self-management, as well as the critical role sleep health plays in overall diabetes care. Her lived experience, combined with her professional expertise, makes her a compassionate and knowledgeable guide for clients navigating their own diabetes journey.

She is deeply committed to empowering others to achieve their diabetes management goals with confidence and clarity.
