Exercise Right for Active Ageing

Exercise Right for Active Ageing is a national program designed for Australians over 65.

During periods of funding from the Australian Government, PDC Health Hub is able to run this program from our East Victoria Park Fitness Hub.

Keep an eye on this page for more updates about the next round of programs!

The program aims to help you:

  • Enjoy affordable exercise classes led by our university qualified team of accredited exercise physiologists
  • Exercise in a friendly and supportive environment in our small boutique gym
  • Improve your quality of life and overall health
  • Connect with like-minded people in a fun and encouraging setting

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists provide safe, supportive and age-appropriate classes that are tailored to your needs and abilities. No previous exercise experience is required!

Who is it for?

The program is open to inactive older Australians over 65, and Indigenous Australians over 55.

Our program is suitable for those:

  • With a chronic condition, injury or illness
  • Who are on the wait list for an Australian Government Home Care package
  • Not currently accessing allied health services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program

What does it cost?

The government grants typically enable us to keep the program costs very low. Previous years' pricing is outlined below:

  • Initial trial class: free
  • Individual pre-assessment: $18.50
  • 12 x group exercise sessions: $8 each (first 2 sessions free!)
  • Individual post-assessment: free
