Exercise Right for Active Ageing

Exercise Right for Active Ageing is a national program designed for Australians over 65. Funding from the Australian Government’s Move it AUS – Better Ageing Grants Program subsidises 12 group exercise classes.

This program aims to help you:

  • Enjoy affordable exercise classes led by our university qualified exercise physiologist
  • Exercise in a friendly and supportive environment in our small boutique gym
  • Improve your quality of life and overall health
  • Connect with like-minded people in a fun and encouraging setting

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologist provides safe, supportive and age-appropriate classes that are tailored to your needs and abilities. No previous exercises experience is required!

Who is it for?

The program is open to inactive older Australians over 65, and Indigenous Australians over 55.

Our program is suitable for those:

  • With a chronic condition, injury or illness
  • Who are on the wait list for an Australian Government Home Care package
  • Not currently accessing allied health services through the Commonwealth Home Support Program

What does it cost?

The government grant has enabled to the program to keep its costs very low:

  • Initial trial class: free
  • Individual pre-assessment: $18.50
  • 12 x group exercise sessions: $8 each (first 2sessions free!)
  • Individual post-assessment: free
