Insulin Stabilisaton
We can help people with diabetes to achieve their desired blood glucose targets by assisting in insulin dose adjustment.
This service is recommended for those:
- Just starting insulin
- Who have undergone a change in the type, dose or regimen of insulin used
- Are undergoing steroid or oncology treatment which may affect blood glucose levels
How does it work?
Under guidance from your GP or Endocrinologist our Credentialled Diabetes Educators can assist with changes to your insulin doses to help you manage your blood glucose levels. During this process you may be required to perfom a specific number of blood glucose tests each day. If you don’t already have a blood glucose meter, we can provide one for you and teach you how to use it.
Our Diabetes Educators will communicate with your general practitioner (GP) and/or Diabetes Specialist during this time.
